Access Statement
Introduction
We are situated in a quiet country location close to beautiful beaches and wonderful coastal walks. We have a garden and conservatory where you can sit and relax. We have four guest rooms which are all ensuite (with showers).
Pre-Arrival
• We are located approximately 1 and 1/2 miles from Hugh Town and the Quay.
• The Community Bus picks up and drops off at the end of our road.
• There are several taxis on St. Mary's.
• We regret that we do not accommodate dogs (or any other animals).
• Brochures and all literature can be provided in large print if required. We regret we do not have facilities to prepare documents in Braille.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• Please advise us of your mode of transport from the mainland (i.e. plane, helicopter or ferry), your departure point and departure time. We request that all guests come straight to the guesthouse on arrival so we can ensure we are here to greet you.
• If traveling by Skybus (plane) Paulgers Passenger Transport meet all flights. 01720 423701.
• If traveling by Helicopter Island Taxis meet all flights. 01720 422635 or 422126.
• If traveling by Scillonian you will need to pre-book transport, we recommend Jim Johnson of St. Mary's Taxis on 01720 422555.
• It is approximately 21 metres from the road to the guesthouse entrance along our concrete drive.
• The guest accommodation is reached through the conservatory.
• We aim to have your room available from 12 noon on your day of arrival, if you are arriving early we are happy to hold your luggage and you can make use of the garden and conservatory.
• We offer assistance with luggage.
Main Entrance
• There is one small step in to the conservatory.
• There are three steps from the conservatory to the house. (No hand rail at present)

Dining Room and Conservatory
• Guests are welcome to use the conservatory at any time.
• The conservatory has four two seat sofas.
• The conservatory has laminate flooring.
• A free standing oil filled radiator is available for the winter months.
• A selection of local information and reading books are available on the sideboard in the hall way.
• Breakfast is served between 08.15 and 08.45 hours daily in the dining room.
• Evening meals are served three nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) at 18.30 hours.
• A dinner menu is placed on hall table at breakfast time; if you wish to dine in please indicate before 09.00 hours.
• If an evening meal is available on your night of arrival and you wish to dine with us this needs to be pre-booked.
• We do not have a licence to sell alcohol so if you wish to bring your own alcohol we are happy to chill it and provide you with glasses.

Bedrooms
• All our bedrooms are on the ground floor and are carpeted throughout.
• All rooms are ensuite and consist of shower, WC and wash basin.
• Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. Fresh milk can be supplied on request.
• There are televisions, clock radio alarms and hair dryers in all rooms.
• Are beds are made with duvets. If you have any allergies please advise us at the time of booking so we can ensure we do not make your room up with feather pillows or duvets.
• There is a wardrobe, dressing table and bed side table/s in all rooms.
• Rooms 1, 2 and 3 are on a timed central heating system, if you require additional heating please let us know and we can provide a free standing heater.
• Room 4 has an individual wall mounted electric heater.
• Bedroom 1: Can be made up as a Double (Super King) or Twin with access from all sides.
• Bedroom 2: Can be made up as a Double (King) or Twin with access from all sides.
• Bedroom 3: Is a single and has access from one side.
• Bedroom 4: Is a Double.
Grounds and Gardens
• We have a garden which guests are welcome to enjoy at all times.
• The garden can be reached via the front door from the conservatory.
• We request that guest towels are not taken in the garden or beach, beach towels can be provided on request.
Additional Information
• There is a fire extinguisher in the corridor by the guest rooms.
• In the event of a fire the smoke alarms will activate, please assemble on the path opposite the drive. Please advise us on arrival if you have a hearing impairment and might not hear this.
• We are a totally non smoking establishment. If you do wish to smoke you may do so in the garden however please be considerate of other guests. Please do not sit under any guest rooms or the conservatory windows.
• We are happy to cater for special diets with prior notice. Please note that as we are on an island we often have to order in special foods.
• Mobile phones do work on the islands but the signal can be patchy, Vodafone and O2 have the best coverage. Please check with your mobile provider. Please note the dining room and conservatory are "mobile free" zones.
• We are happy to refrigerate any medication, wine or beer.
